About the Counseling Program
The mission of the Nichols counseling program is to provide a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate counseling program that will meet the academic, career, social and emotional needs of all students.
What is a School Counselor?
A school counselor is someone who assists students in the academic, emotional/social, and career domains. School counselors in Bullitt County also coordinate the school testing program.
What does the Counseling Program at Nichols Elementary include?
Students will be a part of classroom guidance lessons once a week. Topics include leadership skills, college and career readiness, conflict management, healthy choices, study skills, and safety.
Students may also be involved in small group counseling or individual counseling. If you would like your child to be involved in a small group or one-on-one setting, please contact me or your child's teacher.
